(Half a) Story Hour 📻 📚

At long last… the show is posted! 😅  Half an hour of stories for kids and “kids” of all ages – starting with The Secret Garden.

Promotional image for (Half a) Story Hour, featuring the show's title, "Stories for Kids" and #ReadResponsibly in round text bubbles above the show's logo, a cartoon fox with a candle - the fox is looking up at a photographed microphone.

Join us for a responsible (and fun) read of classic children’s stories!

If you miss the classics from your childhood or you’ve got kids in your life – especially if you’re a teacher – check it out!

It’s been a long time coming: in between teasing me about my name and how I pronounce the word “sauna” (correctly, #SuomalainenTyttö #FinnishCanadian) my classmates used to tell me they liked it when teachers picked me to read, with my weird half-Finnish intonation… and I have compelling evidence from my own practice that my reading can both hook students and send them to sleep – either of which can be a happy outcome in a hectic school day. 👍

You can also hear the show biweekly on CFCR 90.5 FM, and sometime soon I’ll get it set up as a podcast. Thanks for tuning in! #ReadResponsibly
